SocialBakers was founded in 2008, initially as an agency to help improve its own social media performance. Upon realizing that it was difficult to measure just how much it was helping clients, the company set out to build its analytics service. The company was co-founded by Rezab, who ran a mobile gaming startup for eight years, and three others who previously worked together in a CMS startup. SocialBakers is self-funded and is based in Prague. It also has an office in London and plans to open one in San Francisco.
